What these public records can tell you
A registered business address, a declared activity and a tourism registration answer different questions. Use the sources to check the business named on your quote before booking.

Check the business before paying
- Record its legal name, SIREN or SIRET and any tourism registration number.
- Use the official French business directory to check the company and the relevant establishment.
- Where tourism registration is required, consult Atout France and check the current guarantor and insurer.
- Compare this identity with the quote, booking confirmation and payment recipient.
- Ask the business directly about opening hours, appointments and the services it provides.
Missing fields and practical limitations
Telephone numbers, websites, logos, opening hours and specialities are not guessed from a business name. An empty field is preferable to attributing another operator’s contact details. Missing activity codes are not reconstructed from a trading name.
Non-disclosure markers remain respected in the original data and are not used as geographic coordinates. An administrative address may be an office without a shop. An active establishment does not guarantee walk-in access.
Automatic checks
The audit covers all 12,165 entries: unique identifiers and SIRET numbers, identifier formats, consistency of locality groups, dates and numeric coordinates. It also checks local image files and references. No duplicate entry identifier or SIRET was detected in the 3 October 2026 check.

Request a documented correction
Use the site contact details and provide the page URL, entry identifier, field to correct and a recent official source. For a move, say whether it concerns the registered office or a branch. A removal request does not itself establish that the business has closed.
Does a listing certify service quality?
No. It describes public data and their limits, without a rating, commercial recommendation or availability guarantee.
Why do local entries not all have logos?
A logo must be reliably linked to the business or establishment. A name is used when a current visual identity cannot be verified.
Are the travel guides available in English?
The guides and directory are in French. This methodology page has a corresponding English version; only this pair is declared as language alternatives.
